Tacoma Narrows Caisson Moored in currents up to 7 Knots
Mooring systems are used to position and hold floating structures for a variety of applications including compliant offshore structures, floating bridges, floating marine terminals, floating airports, and bridge caissons. The BSCE construction, geotechnical, and structural engineers are experienced in the design and analysis of high capacity mooring systems including conventional gravity and drag anchors, as well as the less conventional suction anchors and driven plate anchors with working capacities up to 500 tons per anchor.
